Someday

Someday, Micah may be a college kid who wants to take some time to backpack the Appalachian Trail and I'll show him this picture of his first time. Someday, it may be hard to believe that he was shorter than the AT trail signs.
Someday, we may climb Blackrock Summit again and the valley may look different than it does now. May God enable us to do our part in caring for His world.
Someday, I may not remember that Micah looked up to his mom (literally and figuratively), or that Paul was little enough to hike on my back.
Someday, Anthony and Levi may remind Paul that the first time he "boxed out" Micah was to get the attention of Phoebe Cole.
Someday, things may be different and I'll look back on these days as being wonderful. What a gift from God that even today, I can look at these days as being wonderful. I don't know what "someday" may hold, but God does!

Happy All Saint's Day

Thanks to my mom giving us a little health scare (she's doing great and on her way to New Orleans again,) I got to go see my new nephew, Joey. I think he looks more like me than either of my two sons ever have! Of course that means he is as cute as can be! :)
Whenever I asked Charlie if he's a big brother, he asks, "Where is Joey?" and hurriedly goes to check on him.My dad's dad made this dulcimer when he visited my parents in Colorado while waiting for my brother to be born; now Charlie enjoys playing it with his Papa. It was a treat that John had a bye week and could come see his new grandson.
It was great to get to see John, Becky, Scott and Sarah! I'm thankful for my brother and his family of four.Paul the pumpkin! We had a fun party at the Miller's.
Micah the builder; the costume was all HIS idea!
Our church's fall festival was so much fun; the Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful!
Some of the girls in my InterVarsity Bible study joined us for chili on our newly painted front porch as we handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. These are such great girls!!
Paul's first piece of candy -- he and Micah actually successfully put candy into some of the kid's pails.
