April Improvement

This documentation of our lives wouldn't be complete without a photo of the spring soccer season. Micah has improved a lot this year!

In the meantime, Paul's tree-climbing has improved, so he doesn't just spend his time digging holes as deep as his waist in the sunflower garden (see background.)

 Our lives improved on April 6, with the arrival of baby Heidi.

 Our boys thought her tiny baby features were so amazing (and so do I -- just look at those cute feet!)

Can Samuel Monroe improve upon the Christopher Robin look?

Micah and Paul thought they could improve Sam's smile.

I had to prove that my craft skills are improving.

Rather than improving the stains on our kitchen floor, we dyed Easter eggs on the porch this year.

This is a common look from little Samuel,

but this is a new-and-improved grin.

Grandma Jo's Easter eggs are an improvement from the ones mom hid for us; these eggs are filled with goodies!

Micah and Paul were so excited to see their names in Anthony's new book, Keeping it R.E.A.L.: Research Experiences for All Learners. Our friend Dan told the boys that his name is in a book, too; the Book of Life!

This photo accurately captures the attitude of each Tongen boy about the Easter egg hunt.

Samuel is offering his bread to the ducks, which are at least 30 feet away. One thing he doesn't need to improve is his great generosity. He is good at sharing, even food (the love of his life.)

Sam and I had a sweet date on one of Paul's last mornings of preschool. It made me long to improve on getting quality one-on-one time with each son. 

It also looks like we need to improve Samuel's understanding of "where are the ducks?"
