A Month's Worth of Pictures

We had a fun "bash" at Grandma Bev's farm on Micah's 4th birthday!!
I was thrilled when Micah chose to have an airplane birthday and Great-Grandpa Smith was able to be there as the expert pilot! (I filled the airplane pinata mainly with little toy airplanes.)
The biggest excitement for Micah was having his cousin, Charlie there to play with him on his birthday!
Paul is smiling at the camera -- hooray for his new-found willingness to do so! Grandma is enjoying time with her brother, Uncle Ralph, while adorably sweet Joey (Scott and Sarah's littlest) is admiring Great-Grandpa Smith. Having Chinese chicken and rice for Micah's birthday with so much of my family (even Great-Aunt Faye and Great- Uncle Ralph and all of the Lancaster Laceys were there) was SO great!!
Paul got a mustache of purple (one of his newest words) paint intended for a pinata.
Here's the first of a series of hug pictures. Paul hugs Micah . . .
Colin and his mom moved to Texas last week, so Paul hugs Colin goodbye . . .
Micah and Noah had a goodbye Colin sandwich hug!
We joined Peyton, Ben and Noah in sending off Colin with breakfast at the Little Grill Collective.Lael's old boyfriend (Paul) and her new boyfriend (Trevor) got to bond over yummy Blue Monkeys.
This smile was one of the biggest I've ever seen on Paul's face, which made it all the more amazing to me that Paul listened to Drew's instructions so closely. It is still off-and-on for him to listen to Anthony and I that well.
Here are Micah and some of his friends from our church Home Group!
Here is our second annual "cool dudes with tulips" photo.
"Scooter boy with tulips"
Micah loves his 4th birthday bike. One of the great things about nice weather is that we get to see our neighbors more; hooray for our front-porch neighborhood!
My gardening helpers have the most fun when they are all dirty and/or wet, but they both have been amazingly excited about growing flowers and vegetables! I'm glad to do extra laundry if they learn to appreciate the earth (even as up close as Paul clearly was here!)

JMU's graduation was yesterday and it looks like Micah earned a firefighter certificate and Paul earned a civil engineering degree.
